Haven't written in here in a while.

A few thoughts:

School's great, really loving this semester.
Halloween is next week.
Parties this weekend.
I was supposed to go home/to Virginia Nov. 8-12.
Not doing that anymore.
Instead giving tours at open house.
Ran 4 miles the other day...that was cool.
I've lost weight too...it's lovely.
Still don't have a job.
Classes wise I am doing very well this semester. :)
I am just happy.

Other things:

We only have 3 1/2 semesters left of college! ahhh well then grad school but shush. My roommate has been pissing me off lately. I am dealing with it. It just gets hard when you share a small space with one person. Jenna is my best friend and I am glad she is around so I don't have to spend so much time in my room. Going to the bars has improved my social life (but not my wallet) as well. More people to meet and easier to hang out with..love it.

Tomorrow I am going to a Saints and Sinners themed bar night. Wear white if you're a saint and red if you're a sinner. I am wearing white...but I might wear some red jewelry or something, you know to spice it up. Also my cellphone is red.

/end rant

Just watched Hot Fuzz, what a great movie...cured the complete boredom that I was in for the entire day.

I can honestly say that I love school this year. I am not missing home and I have no desire to really go home until I have to (irish dayyy). Had a pretty good long weekend though: went to the movies on friday night (The Nanny Diaries was really good) and then stayed in, Saturday went to Lake Minnewaska and the waterfalls during the day with Jenna and Alex Fisher + some other LB-ers, that night we (michelle jenna and i) drove to jenna's house in new jersey. The next day we went to her uncle's house on the jersey shore. It was a great last beach day of the season. I got tan and played in the water.

The beach is the only place in the world where I am truly happy. It does not matter what beach it is, as long as there are waves crashing and warm sand. I think it is that reason why I love home so much, I love to live at the beach.

Tomorrow will be day 14 of me being at school, it's flying by. I am ahead in my work for the semester and I am hoping to get a job by the end of this week. Brieanna is going home on the 12th for the long Rosh Hashana weekend and I will be in my room alone for 5 days! Most of new paltz is going home that weekend, I will have to find something to do while I am here.

Now that I have rambled on for a paragraph too long...how are everyone else's fall semesters going? please comment and let me know.

Yesterday was the most eyeopening experience of my life. For the past few months I have been participating in a group called Take Back the Night. Take Back the Night is an event held across the nation to support raped and abused women. Until last night I did not realize that the one in four statistic was so true. Call me naive, sheltered, whatever..I just never realized. The festival (which is a musical/art display before the actual march and speakout) was a lot of fun and I thought that would be the best part of the event. It was fun, I enjoyed all the bands that played, the people that came, etc. But the most eyeopening part was marching around the campus and town chanting for women's rights and everything and then going to the speak out. The speak out is the part of the event where we sit in rooms separated by gender and tell our stories. I did not have a story to tell, but I did speak. I was crying so hard. I am not a big crier (the last time I cried was the OC series finale...I am superficial, i know) but I cried for about 2 hours last night while listening to these stories. I learned a lot about people I have recently become friends with as well as learning a lot about people that I did not know. Everyone was so open. When I spoke I just gave words of encouragement to all the people in the room. They are all amazing and brave and even if I did not know their names I love them all.

The worst part about it is that a lot of them are graduating this year. I know so much about them and now they are leaving me. I still have 11 days left to spend with them which is amazing but it is going to end so soon.

/end reflective, sad talk

TOMORROW IS MY 20th BIRTHDAY!!!!yayy
I am baking myself a cake today (sad I know) but it will be delicious. Going home for Mother's Day on Friday to celebrate that and my birthday and bring home most of my stuff. Can't wait.

All week all I wanted to do was leave New Paltz and come home. Now I am home and I really just want to be in New Paltz. I just do not think I am happy anywhere. I used to be happy in New Paltz (Freshman year..all year) and then I was happy at home (summer, fall semester vacations, winter break) and now I just do not know where I belong. Everyone is different everywhere and I know I have changed too. I just uh I don't know.

In other news, I got my hair cut and I really like it. Also saw Meet the Robinsons last night..it was cute. Tomorrow is Easter, I get to see my whole family at my cousin's house. Should be lots of fun, but also...my cousins have changed, especially Ali. I cannot even talk to her anymore and when I was about 13 I considered her one of my best friends. Life was so simple then.

I turn 20 in 30 days. 21 in 395 days (not that I am counting down or anything). I come home for the summer in 40 days. First summer in four years that I am not working at merolas. That will be different.

So that is life.

So Christine Sweeney doesnt die because shes retarded and decided to hold her breath..I am writing.

Remember all that work I was going to do..yeah I got sick on Monday morning and really havent done anything since.

I just took my Psychological Statistics Final...A->no..B+->probably

4 more classes left of the semester and instead of studying I will probably be:
-crocheting
-playing freecell
-visiting facebook, postsecret, myspace, and the superficial multiple times a day

Last night I discovered my new favorite place to study: the laundry room.
See I live in this really cool building that has 12 washers and 12 dryers. This leads to a huge laundry room that they have filled space with by adding tables. It is really the perfect place to study besides the minimal lighting.

Today I finished final 1 of 5 (as stated above). It is the only one I am confident about...and maybe american woman writers of the 20th century and the optional psychological statistics final that i have decided to take.

So if I go missing for about 6 or 7 days in the coming week...go down to the laundry room in Bouton Hall and you will probably find me...and I will probably not be studying.

Last night I had a full conversation online with Melissa and we tAlKeD lYkE dIs....it is impossible to type like that and I am glad that is over.

this is boring..im done.

christine i hope you are still alive.

I am obviously not a continuous writer

(although does anyone remember my deadjournal circa 2004..yeah that was kept up to date)

I just dont have too much going on right now. First semester sophomore year ends on the 11th (well classes) and I go home the 20th. I hate that I have to leave when I am FINALLY getting comfortable...although I definitely do not mind going home.

Thanksgiving Break 2006 was awesome...it was mosty just a shit show but I had a good time. It made me realize I should not drink for a little while. So that is what I am going to do.

I know I am not doing amazing this semester so I made a goal (that I told martha) that I am going to get a 4.0 second semester of this year. I do not know if that will happen, but I will try.

Tomorrow I have a shitload of work to do..great. But really its the final stetch so I can burn myself out for the next 2 weeks and then just crash at home. So starting tomorrow all I am going to do is go to the gym, study, going to finals. I really have no much more today. Also I have seen 3 movies in the past 2 weeks so I am set for a little while..and I am poor haha. I saw Happy Feet and Casino Royale tonight for $4 all together which was amazing. Came back to my room, played sorry!, alex from merolas came to visit (and kelly last night!) so I have had my share of merolas visitors this weekend.

Well I'll probably update again sometime before christmas...dont hold your breath

I definitely write my more meaningful/substantial entry things into this journal, rather than my deadjournal.

Tonight I went out for the first time in like 5 days. It was nice to not be home reading/sleeping/doing nothing. But I think I needed those few days to just chill and enjoy my own company.

I have started working at Merola's again which I am thrilled about. I really missed the place. Plus Justine is so much better to work under than steve. We have 2 new deli guys (well 1 new and 1 who is just new to me). They are nice...they are really the only new additions to the store besides cashiers..but cashiers don't mattter. Speaking of: Gian is going to start at Merola's IGA working Saturday nights from 3-8. I get to train him and work with the bro. It should be a lot of fun.

In other news I bought beer for the first time the other day. Very exciting. I need to get my eyebrows waxed. I also need to get my toes done and to go to the beach. I am not working until Friday so if the weather is nice, the beach is possible. I am not used to working so little in the summer. I really hope it picks up soon.

July 20-24 I am going to California with Laura. Only 44 or 45 more days! Today Michelle said something ineteresting too: "It's weird how we (me.michelle.christine) had a better time when we were all separated." I went to the party with Michelle and Christine and had an awesome time. I left them and hung out with 1 person I had just met, 1 person I have met but hardly speak too, and someone who I have recently become friends with. And now the four of us are having a clone high/boxed wine party and I couldn't be more thrilled.

Last night made me wish I had my cousins ID copy already. All classes enable me to fill gen ed. requirements AND after this semester I only need 1 more science and 1 art class. I will probably take General Biology 2 and I am going to hold out for the history of film class because it looks awesome (and because I lack art skills).

Now all I have to work through is the rest of classes and finals and then it is finally SUMMER!! Not that this semester feels long or anything (because I feel like it is realy quick...maybe its the lack of cold weather) but I am ready to just work, chill on the beach, and work. And obviously get wasted with my friends from home because it is so much better. Hey Camy...themed parties in our future???

Alright I need to peace because I have a gym to go to...now
